Community and technical college board will discuss budget reduction impacts and mission study
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and Thursday, Dec. 4, at Clark College in Vancouver.
The study session is scheduled from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 3. The regular meeting is 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 4.
During the two-day meeting, the Board will discuss the impacts of impending budget cuts, including WorkFirst budget reductions. The community and technical college Mission Study Task Force will give an update.
Tom Henderson, SBCTC’s director of capital programs, will discuss capital budget bonds and Certificates of Participation.
Bob Knight, Clark College president, will give a presentation on issues related to Clark College.
The Board will join Clark College Trustees and staff for dinner on Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Penguin Union Building dining room. No official business will be discussed during dinner.
Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at Clark College, Gaiser Hall, Room 213, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.
